Error restoring INBOX

When I try to restore from a backup, all folders restore EXCEPT INBOX, which gives the error message "ERROR Folder "INBOX.INBOX" was not created. Server response: "Mailbox exists."

Please help!

the INBOX does not get recreated as it already exists. Therefore it should have restored the mail into the INBOX folder instead.
