Why is it displaying the words I put between tags on a seperate line before the actual Technorati tags? As an example Free lancer, freelancing and then one line down Technorati tags Freelancer freelancing which are hyperlinks and go to Technorati.

Seperate problem the Wordpress insert link on the write post page is grayed out. Why?

Hi nar,

I made the same mistake initially. The problem we encountered is that we're using the tool incorrectly.

When you're writing your blog post you should work your tags into your content - not smack them on the end like a postit on a print-out.

E.g. at my post http://sportcrazy.net/cycling/whats-your-plan-your-next-bikes/

I have the first paragraph as follows
Code:

I recently ordered my 2nd "real [tag]bike[/tag]", a Surly Cross-Check built up for commuting and touring. I like the Cross-Check because it's the "Swiss Army knife of bikes": it's capable of doing so much - single track/cyclocross, singlespeed/fixed-gear, touring, commuting - due to certain features of the [tag]frameset[/tag], namely clearance and the horizontal dropouts.

See the way "bike" and "frameset" are tagged within the post? And down the bottom of the post they're showing correctly... that's how it's done. Pretty easy once you cop it!

HTH!
Al.

I have encountered the same problem.

The usage instructions specifically state:

Quote:
The main way of using SimpleTags is to add a comma separated list of words or phrases within the [tags] tags at the end of the post. For example:

[tags]Word Press, Technorati, SimpleTags[/tags]

Just to clarify, in case other people are having the same problem.

SimpleTags allow you can use both methods:

1. Keyword(s) enclosed within [tag] in the post as suggested by amd above
2. Keyword(s) enclosed within [tags] at the end of the post

The problem with the double display happens when you enclose the keywords within [tag] at the end of the post. You should use [tags] instead in this case.
